Frequently Asked Questions

What primary services do you offer?

Telehealth Individual therapy services for adults seeking to better understand experiences, identity, self, and to better navigate relationships in order to increase satisfaction and contentment in own self and expand skillset and support network.

I've noticed telehealth services have really opened the door to accessibility to support/sessions that prioritize you, even if it starts just weekly. I hope you'll consider this, consider you because you deserve it and you are worth it.

What do you specialize in?

I specialize in working with people who: are struggling to hold space for themselves and life happenings as this includes: identity/roles (motherhood, coparenting, blended families, intergenerational/cultural, racial, spiritual), life transitions, grief/loss, trauma, anxiety/depression, complex trauma, intergenerational family issues, cultural/racial identity, self-esteem, gender/sexuality identity affirmation related issues, spirituality/faith, women mental health and relational issue.

What to expect in a session?

I provide an eclectic approach that adjusts to be your best fit whether that is more structured/behavior focused (integrating understanding of own self internally and the impact on behaviors) or loose/exploration focused (integrating current experiences/interactions and understanding the impact of past experiences on current self/expectations) or anything in between. I'm always listening to what you need and collaborating with you in order to keep sessions you-centered and focused as that includes: cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative, existential, trauma-informed, self-compassion-informed therapy.

Together, we will: create space for you to exist and be you with no strings attached; practice giving yourself room to grow, heal, grieve, laugh, celebrate, pause, process, plan etc because many of us weren't taught/modeled what it looks like to value being wholly us.

Why therapy?

Therapy is a space for you to prioritize yourself with: time, effort, care, pause, investment. How it looks will be adjusted to fit your current needs best and is collaborative in order to remind you that your needs, your purpose, your voice is valuable and worthy of taking up space.

I became a therapist because growing up as an asian-american with immigrant parents was really hard, but I thought it was normal. I wish I knew I could take up space to just be me. Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is my mantra: "a whole life is just a culmination of all the baby steps taken" that helps us make strides practically and internally to best empower and support your process at your pace.
